Morris Chestnut and his wife are in news today. Morris Chestnut, an African American film and TV actor is married to Pam Byse. They have three children. Morris Chestnut is best known for the movies Boyz N the Hood and The Best Man in which he played Ricky Baker and Dave Johnson respectively. In both the films he played roles as teenage father.
Most recently, in the film Not Easily Broken, released in 2009, he played role of a struggling husband. He acted along with Steven Seagal for three times. He acted along with Steven Seagal in Half Past Dead, In Under Siege 2: Dark Territory and Prince of Pistols. Chestnut played the main villain in Prince of Pistols.
In an interview for Essence.com, Morris said that he prefers to keep his private life private. In the interview he told them,
“Definitely. To be honest, many of the celebrities want their home life and what they do off-set to be public because people feel strongly that there is no such thing as bad publicity, in other words, any publicity is good publicity. I’ve always wanted in my life that my private life and work to be public.”
When it was asked that what was the wildest rumor you’ve heard about yourself? Morris Chestnut replied,
“I heard that was divorce. People call me all over the country to talk about it. A local radio DJ said and puts me in that station and just set the record straight.”
Then he was asked to describe the reaction of his wife on it, he laughed and said,
“I really do not care for it too. I tried to explain that you can not really confirm or deny every single rumor, but definitely not rule on this point.”
