2:10 p.m. -- The ceremony is over. Only 96 days to pitchers and catchers!
2:05 p.m. -- Bloomberg calls New York "the capital of baseball" before closing out the ceremony. Rapper Jay-Z, wearing his Yankee cap, performs to end the festivities.
2:02 p.m. -- Jeter closes out the key ceremony be getting his as the crowd screams in delight. Bloomberg then hands Hal Steinbrenner a key for him to give to his dad George.

2:01 p.m. -- Girardi gets his key and loud cheers.
1:57 p.m. -- Seems like everyone gets a key! Coaches, team doctors, you name it. The ceremony goes on.
1:53 p.m. -- Matsui gets the lodest cheers, so far, as he walkes up to get his key.
1:51 p.m. -- Bloomberg continues to shake hands and give out keys.
1:48 p.m. -- The players get their keys. A-Rod, still wearing his hat and shades, gets a loud cheer.
1:41 p.m. -- Bloomberg hands out keys to members of the Yankee front office.
1:39 p.m. -- The crowd is serenaded to a rendition of "God Bless America."
1:36 p.m. -- Girardi thanks the fans.
1:35 p.m. -- Fans start chanting "28! 28!" hoping for a repeat next year.
1:33 p.m. -- Hal Steinbrenner takes to the podium and thanks the city for the big party. "It's hard to believe it's been nine years [since the last World Series]. ... This one is for my dad."
1:32 p.m. -- The players and crowd rises for the playing of the National Anthem.
1:31 p.m. -- Jeter hold aloft the World Series trophy.
1:30 p.m. -- The crowd goes wild.
1:28 p.m. -- The players walk onto the stage as the song, "We are the Champions" blares in the background over the loudspeakers.
1:26 p.m. -- Bloomberg takes to the podium. The ceremony has begun.
1:20 p.m. -- The ceremony is now officially 20 minutes late.
1:18 p.m. -- The fans are watching this season's greatest moments on large screens set up inside the plaza. The highlight reel continues to play as the ceremony is about to start.
1:15 p.m. -- Members of the Yankees staff make their way out of City Hall onto the stage amid loud cheers and applause. The staff is basking in the glory as the sun continues to shine on the plaza. No players have come out yet.
1:12 p.m. -- Bloomberg and Schumer are engaged in a deep conversation. Can they be discussing nest year's Yankees batting order?
1:09 p.m. -- Reggie Jackson and Yogi Berra hang out waiting for the ceremony to start. Jackson briefly fields a call. Mayor Bloomberg and Sen. Chuck Schumer also make their way onto the stage.
