November 11: Post office closed on veterans day and Are banks open on Veterans Day. Veterans Day is celebrated throughout the USA with great fervor. It is the day to remember the sacrifices made by the forefathers of the young nation who laid their lives to keep the nation’s flag fly high.
It is a federal holiday and so most of the offices and shopping plazas will remain close for the day.
Veterans Day is an annual American holiday honoring military veterans. A federal holiday, it is usually observed on November 11.
However, if it occurs on a Sunday then the following Monday is designated for holiday leave, and if it occurs Saturday then either Saturday or Friday may be so designated.
