Princeton University professor and Nobel prize winner Paul Krugman will speak Monday morning at CPCC's Central campus.
Krugman, who won the Nobel award in economics, will speak from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Halton Theater, in CPCC's Overcash Center, 1206 Elizabeth Avenue. His talk is open to the public, and tickets are $2.
CPCC students will be admitted for free, if they get a voucher from their instructors.
Krugman's topics will be "U.S. Macroeconomic Policy: Past, Present and Future." He helped found the "new trade theory," a view that focuses on increasing returns and imperfect returns from the global marketplace. He has written a number of books on international finance research, including "The Conscience of a Liberal: and "The Age of Dominished Expectations."
